Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, our in-person park nature programs are currently on hiatus. We have several virtual program options, however, to maintain our community outreach during these unusual times. Thank you for your understanding. ~Naturalist Shannon

Flowers, butterflies, bees, and solar panels? Explore the new trail and garden at the Solar Pollinator Habitat with seven interactive learning stations that share the science behind pollinators and clean energy. Take what you learn at the park and make small changes in our own yard.
Shannon is the part-time Staff Naturalist for Warren County Park District and is in charge of facilitating community-wide nature programs and organizing our Ohio Certified Volunteer Naturalist (OCVN) team. She was recently granted the "Educator of the Year" award by the Warren Co. Soil and Water Conservation District.
Our programs' success is reliant on a strong volunteer base. If you are interested in becoming an OCVN and joining our team, please contact Shannon directly at MotherNaturesClassroom@gmail.com. Scholarships are available!
Dianna is a retired scientific communications professional and is an OCVN and an National Association for Interpretation Certified Interpretive Guide. Dianna most recently wrote and received an Ohio EPA grant for and helped design our Solar Pollinator Habitat Discovery Trail.
Bill is a retired teacher and OCVN who has dedicated countless hours to the betterment of Warren County Parks. You may find him at Hisey Park, tending to the native trees in his nursery, or at one of our many nature programs.
Dave is an avid nature photographer and talented writer who often volunteers to contribute to local media stories. He is also an OCVN and has been instrumental in the success of many of our programs!

The Master Gardener program provides training in horticulture to interested Ohio residents, who then volunteer their time assisting with educational programs.
